Health and Medical Services<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Global Darussalam Academy is committed to fostering a healthy school environment and ensuring access to medical care for students and all members of the GDA community. The following points outline our health and medical service procedures:<\/span><\/p>

  • The school clinic is staffed with a doctor and nurse available daily from 07:00 to 17:00.<\/span><\/li>
  • In the event of an incident on campus, parents will be contacted promptly, with student confidentiality maintained wherever possible.<\/span><\/li>
  • Several hospitals are located near Jalan Kaliurang. In an emergency, the school nurse will help arrange medical appointments. Whenever possible, students will be accompanied by the school nurse or a member of the boarding team.<\/span><\/li>
  • Parents are required to provide a complete health history for their child at the start of the academic year and promptly update the nurse with any changes throughout the year.<\/span><\/li>
  • Students\u2019 personal medications MUST be stored in the boarding office and will be administered by the school nurse or senior boarding staff. Every dosage will be carefully recorded.<\/span><\/li>
  • Students are not permitted to keep any medication in their rooms.<\/span><\/li>
  • If a student feels unwell during school hours, they must report to the school nurse immediately. If the nurse is unavailable, they may report to the boarding office.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Medications students are allowed to carry at all times:<\/span><\/p>

    1. Inhalers for asthma (e.g., Ventolin\/Salbutamol)<\/span><\/li>
    2. EpiPen or other adrenaline auto-injectors for severe allergies\/anaphylaxis<\/span><\/li>
    3. Insulin and glucose tablets\/gels for students with diabetes<\/span><\/li>
    4. Doctor-prescribed creams or ointments (e.g., for eczema, acne, etc.)<\/span><\/li>
    5. Topical eye or ear drops<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
